Taly Haffar

Taly is a very experienced trial attorney in north Texas, having tried over one hundred cases to juries with a very high success rate.  His willingness to take difficult cases to trial, and often succeed, has created his reputation as one of the best trial attorneys in the area. Where other attorneys shy away from the court room and confrontation, Taly wholeheartedly enjoys being in the arena and fighting for justice.

Taly began his career in the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.  After three short years, due to an unrelenting work ethic and consistent success in the courtroom, Taly rose through the ranks of the Office from a misdemeanor attorney to a Chief Felony prosecutor. During that time, Taly investigated, prepared and negotiated hundreds of cases: from DWIs, to Assaults, to Capital Murders.

In 2006, Taly left the District Attorney’s Office to work on more complex criminal matters within the Department of Justice.  Taly served as an Assistant United States Attorney from 2007 through 2015.  In that time, he worked on a wide variety of federal crimes.  Taly has a specific and unique understanding on how federal cases are opened, investigated, tried and how individuals become targets of the authorities.

Taly has received accolades and exemplary reviews from the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, the United States Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for his work.

There are few attorneys in north Texas who can offer the combination of experience and knowledge Taly has to offer.

Additionally, throughout his career, Taly has done all he can to help those in his community. Be it in the courtroom or out, Taly has made a difference in people’s lives.  In 2006, Taly created the Gustavo Ipina Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Each year, the fund has awarded $5000 to one or more deserving east Dallas high school students who wish to continue their education in college. 16 scholarships have been given out to students who are currently enrolled at Texas Tech, Texas Women’s University, Texas A&M Commerce, El Centro College and others.

Further, Taly created and runs the Big Russian Shootout.  The Shootout is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, started in 2010, that raises money for different charities in north Texas.  The tournament has donated thousands of dollars to the Genesis Women’s Shelter, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Children’s Hospital of Dallas and others.

Taly is an attorney of character.  An attorney who cares.  An attorney who will always be straightforward and honest.
